Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Bukhara train station, exit and head southeast on O‘zbekiston street towards the city center. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Navoiy street. Turn right onto Navoiy street and walk for another 500 meters. You will pass the Bukhara State University on your right. Keep walking until you see a large open square; this is the Lyab-i Hauz area. From the square, look for a small alleyway leading to the left. Follow it, and after about 200 meters, you will find the Modarykhan Madrasah on your right.

    If you are at the Ark Fortress, exit the fortress and turn left onto the main road. Walk down this road for about 800 meters until you reach the intersection with Navoiy street. Turn right and continue straight for about 600 meters. When you reach the Lyab-i Hauz area, take the alleyway leading off to the left, and after 200 meters, you will find the Modarykhan Madrasah on your right.

    From the Bukhara Market (Tim Abdullakhan), exit the market and turn left onto the main road. Walk straight for about 300 meters until you reach the Lyab-i Hauz area. Here, you will see a large pond surrounded by trees. Take the left alleyway from the pond and walk for about 200 meters, and you will find the Modarykhan Madrasah on your right.
