Getting There

Walking
Start at the central square of Khiva, known as the 'Registan.' From here, head west towards the Tashkent Gate (Tashkent Darvoza). Walk along the main street, which is lined with shops and cafes. As you reach the Tashkent Gate, continue straight for about 200 meters until you reach the intersection with a large wall on your left. Turn left at the wall and follow the path that leads you toward the west gate of Itchan Kala. You will see the impressive entrance gate ahead as you approach.

If you are near the Kunya-Ark Citadel, exit the citadel and head southwest towards the main road. Once on the road, turn to your right and walk straight until you see the Itchan Kala walls. Keep walking along the walls, and after about 300 meters, you will arrive at the west gate. Look for the decorative entrance, which is hard to miss.
