    If you are starting from the main entrance of the Ichan Kala (the historic inner city of Khiva), head east towards the Tash Khovli Palace. As you exit the main gate, continue straight along Islam Khodja Street for about 700 meters. You'll pass several shops and local vendors along the way. Keep an eye out for the tall minaret of Islam Khodja on your left, which serves as a good landmark. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see the grand entrance of Tash Khovli Palace on your right. The palace is well-marked and offers beautiful views of its architecture and courtyard.
