Walking
If you are starting from the main entrance of the Ichan Kala (the historic inner city of Khiva), head east towards the Tash Khovli Palace. As you exit the main gate, continue straight along Islam Khodja Street for about 700 meters. You'll pass several shops and local vendors along the way. Keep an eye out for the tall minaret of Islam Khodja on your left, which serves as a good landmark. After about 10 minutes of walking, you will see the grand entrance of Tash Khovli Palace on your right. The palace is well-marked and offers beautiful views of its architecture and courtyard.

Walking
Starting from the Djuma Mosque, head south towards the Tash Khovli Palace. Walk straight down the narrow alleyways, which lead you deeper into the heart of Khiva. Continue for about 500 meters, and you will reach a crossroad. Turn left at the crossroad, and after a short walk of about 200 meters, the Tash Khovli Palace will be on your left. This route allows you to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Khiva's streets.

If you are near the Pakhlavan Makhmud Mausoleum, start by heading north along the main road. After approximately 300 meters, take a right turn onto a smaller street. Continue straight for about 400 meters until you reach a fork in the road. Take the left path which leads directly to the entrance of Tash Khovli Palace within a few minutes. This route is scenic and gives you a great view of the surrounding historical buildings.
