Perfect tour for Day 2

This tour deserves more attention and more reviews. As said in the description, it's a perfect day 2 activity. If you are looking to connect the dots, and go beyond the (monumental) architecture and the awe (and photos) that go with it, you should consider this one. You will understand Samarkand's culture and full historical cycles, from ancient Afrosiob civilization to modern day city. You will get a glimpse at how its remarkable paper and silk carpets are produced. You will understand Ulug Begh's astronomical achievements (observatory), the peaceful coexistence of so many traditions and religions (Daniel's Tomb, Jewish Cemetery, etc) and will visit some other attractive landmarks that make this a unique destination. Above all, my guide was Fayoziddin. He is an impressive source of information, enthusiastic, very entrepreneurial, a great driver (you understand why that is important) and overall a remarkable Partner on this journey. My advice, if you take this as a private tour, would be to tailor one or two places to your interest; I'm sure he will gladly flex that. Ah .. beware: Viator may show you an individual price, but won't let you choose one person to it forces you to pay a minimum of 2. This is not the only tour where Viator works like that. Don't let that frustrate you and still go ahead with this one, it's highly recommended!
