Car Rental
If you are renting a car, start from your accommodation in Aore Island. Drive towards the ferry terminal at Aore Island. Take the ferry to Luganville on Espíritu Santo, which runs regularly throughout the day. The ferry ride takes about 30 minutes and costs around 2000 VUV (Vanuatu Vatu) per person. Once you arrive at Luganville, head north on the main road. Continue straight for approximately 30 minutes. Look for signs indicating Riri Blue Hole, and turn right onto a smaller road leading to the attraction. Be cautious as the last stretch may be unpaved.
Public Transportation
From Aore Island, you will first need to take a ferry to Luganville. Check the ferry schedule for departure times, as they can vary. The ferry ride lasts about 30 minutes and costs approximately 2000 VUV per person. Upon arriving at Luganville, head to the local bus station. Look for buses heading towards the north side of the island. The bus ride will take around 45 minutes to an hour, depending on traffic. Inform the driver that you are going to Riri Blue Hole, and they will drop you off on the main road leading to the site. From the drop-off point, you may need to walk about 10-15 minutes along the path to reach the entrance.
