Car
If you're traveling by car, head out from Luganville, the main town in Espiritu Santo. Follow the main road north (the ring road) towards the Matevulu area. After approximately 20 kilometers, look for signs pointing towards Matevulu Blue Hole. You will find a dirt road leading to the entrance of the Blue Hole. There is usually a small entrance fee of around 5,000 Vatu per person, so be prepared with cash. Parking is available at the site.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, you can take a local bus from Luganville heading towards the Matevulu area. Buses typically leave from designated bus stops in Luganville. Inform the driver you are going to Matevulu Blue Hole. The fare is usually about 500 Vatu per person. The bus will drop you off near the entrance, but you may need to walk a short distance down the dirt road to reach the Blue Hole. Be sure to check the bus schedule for the return trip, as they may not run frequently.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous, renting a bicycle in Luganville is another option. Cycle north along the main road towards Matevulu. The journey is roughly 20 kilometers and can take about 1-2 hours depending on your pace. Be cautious of traffic and road conditions. Once you reach the area, follow the signs to the Blue Hole. You will also need to pay the entrance fee upon arrival.
