Getting There

Walking
From the center of Lamap, start by heading west on the main path towards the coast. As you walk, look for signs or locals to direct you towards Matevulu Blue Hole. Continue along the path for about 30 minutes, enjoying the local scenery. You will pass by some villages and lush vegetation. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the path; take the right path which leads toward the forest area. Follow this path for another 10 minutes until you see signs for Matevulu Blue Hole. The entrance is marked, and from there it is a short walk down to the water.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the main square in Lamap. Head towards the west along the coastal road, keeping an eye out for signs leading to Matevulu Blue Hole. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will encounter a dirt road branching off to the left. Take this road, which will lead you through some beautiful scenery. Continue for about 1 kilometer until you see the entrance to Matevulu Blue Hole. Park your bicycle at the entrance and proceed on foot to the water.

Hiking
For those looking for a more adventurous route, start at the nearest hilltop. Begin your hike by following the trail from the hill that descends towards Lamap. Once you reach the base, navigate towards the village and follow the main path west. After about 3 kilometers, you will come across a small stream; cross the stream and continue following the path. Look for signs indicating Matevulu Blue Hole. It should take around 1 hour of hiking from the hilltop to reach the entrance of the Blue Hole.
