Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the capital of Vanuatu, Port Vila. Take the road leading north towards Malampa Province. After approximately 2 hours, you will reach the town of Lakatoro, the capital of Malampa Province. Continue driving for about 30 minutes along the coastal road towards the village of Montmartre. The Lololima waterfalls are located approximately 10 minutes from Montmartre. Look for the signs indicating the waterfalls or ask locals for directions as you approach Montmartre. The final approach involves a short drive on a dirt road that leads to a parking area near the waterfalls.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Lololima waterfalls using public transportation, you can take a bus or a minibus from Port Vila to Lakatoro. The journey will take around 2 to 3 hours. Once in Lakatoro, you can either hire a taxi or catch a local bus heading towards Montmartre. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Lololima waterfalls. The bus or taxi journey from Lakatoro to Montmartre will take about 30 minutes. Upon reaching Montmartre, you may need to walk or arrange for a local guide to take you the last part of the way to the waterfalls, which is about a 10-minute drive on a dirt road.
