Rockwater Resort: A Tropical Paradise on Tanna Island

Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Sola Market, which is located in the center of Sola. From the market, head northwest on Main Street towards the coastline. Continue straight until you reach the beach. Once you reach the shore, you should see a sign pointing towards Ipak Bay. Follow this path along the coastline for approximately 1.5 kilometers. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the ocean and local flora. Keep an eye out for any directional signs that might help guide you along the way. After about 30 minutes of walking, you will reach Rockwater Resort, which is located along Ocean Road Ipak Bay.

• Bicycle

  If you have a bicycle, you can start from the Sola Market. Head northwest on Main Street and then follow the same route as pedestrians towards the coastline. Take the path along the beach towards Ipak Bay. Riding a bicycle will allow you to cover the distance more quickly, approximately 10-15 minutes. Make sure to watch for pedestrians and stay safe while riding. Upon arrival at Rockwater Resort, you can park your bicycle at the designated area.

• Boat

  For a scenic route, consider taking a local boat from Sola Harbor. Head to the harbor, which is situated at the southern end of Sola. Speak with local fishermen or boat operators about arranging a transport to Ipak Bay. The boat ride will offer stunning views of the coastline and might take around 15-20 minutes. Upon reaching Ipak Bay, disembark and look for signs directing you to Rockwater Resort, which is located nearby.
