If you're traveling by car in Tafea Province, begin your journey from the provincial capital, Lenakel. From Lenakel, head south on the main road (also known as the Ring Road) towards the ferry terminal. The drive will take approximately 30 minutes, covering around 20 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to the ferry terminal, as this is where you will pick up the ferry that takes you to Tanna Island. Note that the ferry operates several times a day, but it's advisable to check the schedule in advance. The ferry ride to Tanna Island takes around 1 hour and costs approximately 1,500 Vanuatu Vatu (VUV) per person.
