Ensure you have enough fuel, as there are limited service stations along the way.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transport, take a local bus from Tafea to Sulphur Bay. Buses run approximately every hour, and the fare is around 500 Vatu per person. Once you arrive in Sulphur Bay, you will need to hire a taxi or a local guide to take you to Mount Yasur as the volcano is about 30 minutes away from the bus stop. Taxi fares can range from 2,000 to 3,000 Vatu depending on negotiation.
