Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Apostolic Palace, exit and head southeast on Via della Conciliazione towards Piazza San Pietro. Continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river via the Ponte Sant'Angelo. Once across, turn left onto Lungotevere Castello and follow it until you reach the next bridge, Ponte Vittorio Emanuele II. Cross this bridge and continue straight onto Via Giulia. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Via di San Francesco a Ripa, and turn right. Continue straight to Via della Lungara and turn left. After a short walk, you will reach the entrance to Bioparco di Roma, located at Piazzale del Giardino Zoologico.

    From the Apostolic Palace, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the corner of Via della Conciliazione and Via della Storia. Take Bus 87 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the 'Piazza di Porta Pia' stop. From there, walk towards Via XX Settembre, then turn left onto Via delle Terme di Diocleziano. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of Bioparco di Roma, located at Piazzale del Giardino Zoologico.
