Getting There

  • Walking

    From the entrance of the Vatican Pinacoteca, exit the building and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once you reach the street, turn left and continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Viale Vaticano. At this intersection, cross to the opposite side of the street and continue walking straight. You will pass the entrance to the Vatican Gardens on your left. Keep walking until you reach the intersection with Piazza San Pietro. Continue straight, and you will see the grand Piazza San Pietro ahead of you. Walk through the square, enjoy the view of St. Peter's Basilica, and then head towards the right side of the square, where you will find Via della Conciliazione. Walk down Via della Conciliazione, and you will eventually reach the Tiber River. Continue walking along the river until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge, and once you are on the other side, turn left and continue walking along the riverbank. After a short walk, you will see the Fountain of Venus located at Piazzale Scipione Borghese, 5, on your right.

    From the Vatican Pinacoteca, exit the building and walk to the nearest bus stop located on Viale Vaticano. Catch the bus number 81 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops and get off at 'Piazza Scipione Borghese'. After getting off, walk straight for about 200 meters, and you will find the Fountain of Venus located at Piazzale Scipione Borghese, 5.
