Getting There

  • Walking

    From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, exit the museum and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. Once you are outside, turn right onto Viale Vaticano and continue walking straight. After about 10-15 minutes, you will reach the entrance to the Vatican City. Continue walking straight until you get to the Ottaviano metro station (Metro Line A). Take the metro towards Anagnina and get off at the Termini station. From Termini, transfer to Metro Line B towards Laurentina and get off at the Tiburtina station. Once at Tiburtina, exit the station and catch a local bus that goes to Tivoli. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the stop for Hadrian's Villa, which is a short walk from the entrance.

    From the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located at the Vatican Museums. Take bus number 81 or 982 towards the Termini Railway Station. Once you arrive at Termini, look for the train station and purchase a ticket for a regional train heading to Tivoli. The train ride will last about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Tivoli, exit the train station and follow the signs to the Hadrian's Villa. It is approximately a 20-minute walk from the train station to the villa entrance.
