Getting There

  • Walking

    Exit the Gregorian Etruscan Museum and head towards the main entrance of the Vatican Museums. From there, turn left onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach Piazza San Pietro (St. Peter's Square). Once at the square, walk along the left side until you see the steps leading up to Via della Conciliazione. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Garibaldi. Turn right onto Via Garibaldi, and you will see the entrance to Janiculum Hill (Gianicolo) shortly after on your left.

    After visiting the Gregorian Etruscan Museum, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop at 'Vaticano' (located near the main entrance of the Vatican Museums). Take bus number 870 towards 'Piazza San Giovanni'. Ride the bus for three stops until you reach 'Aurelia/Porta Cavalleggeri'. From there, disembark and walk straight onto Via Garibaldi. Continue walking until you reach the entrance to Janiculum Hill (Gianicolo) on your left.
