Walking
To get to Pigneto from the Sistine Chapel, exit the Chapel and head towards the Vatican Museums. Follow the signs pointing towards the main exit. Once you exit the Museums, you will be at Viale Vaticano. From there, continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Cavalleggeri. Turn left onto Via di Porta Cavalleggeri and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Cross the street and continue straight until you reach the Tiber River. At the river, turn right and follow the banks of the Tiber until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight on Via di Panico. After a few blocks, turn left onto Via di Ripetta and then right onto Via del Corso. Walk down Via del Corso until you reach the intersection with Via del Plebiscito. Here, turn left and continue until you reach Via Nazionale. At this point, you can take Bus 81 or 87 from the nearby bus stop towards Pigneto. Get off at the Pigneto stop.
Public Transport
From the Sistine Chapel, walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano - San Pietro. Take the Metro Line A towards Anagnina. Alight at the Termini station. From Termini, change to Metro Line C towards Pantano. Get off at the Pigneto station, which is the fourth stop. Once you exit the metro, you will find yourself in the Pigneto area.
