Getting There

  • Walking

    To get to Monti from St. Peter's Basilica, exit the basilica and head towards the main street, Via della Conciliazione. Walk straight along this road until you reach the Castel Sant'Angelo. From there, cross the bridge, Ponte Sant'Angelo, and continue straight until you reach the main road, Via di Ripetta. Turn left on Via di Ripetta, and keep walking until you arrive at the main intersection with Via del Corso. Here, turn right onto Via del Corso and walk straight. When you reach the intersection with Via dei Fori Imperiali, turn left. Continue walking until you see Monti district on your right side. This walk should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From St. Peter's Basilica, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via della Conciliazione. Look for bus line 81, which will take you directly towards the Monti area. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop named 'Viale Manzoni'. Once you get off the bus, walk straight and take a left onto Via Merulana. Continue straight and you will enter the Monti neighborhood. The entire trip should take around 30 minutes, including waiting time.

  • Public Transport - Metro

    To reach Monti via the metro, exit St. Peter's Basilica and walk to the nearest metro station, Ottaviano (Line A). After boarding the metro, travel towards Anagnina and get off at the stop 'Termini'. From Termini, change to Line B (blue line) towards Laurentina. Get off at the stop 'Cavour'. After exiting the metro, walk straight along Via Cavour for about 10 minutes until you reach the Monti district. The total travel time will be approximately 30-40 minutes.
