From the center of St. Peter's Square, exit the square through the main entrance facing the Basilica. As you walk out, head towards the large street called Via della Conciliazione. Once you reach Via della Conciliazione, turn right and continue walking straight. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach Piazza Venezia. Here, you will see the impressive Altare della Patria (Altar of the Fatherland) monument. From this point, continue walking down Via del Corso for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Turn left onto Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina and continue straight until you reach the Colosseum area. The Tempio di Romolo is located within the Parco archeologico del Colosseo, which you can enter from Via Sacra. The total walking distance from St. Peter's Square to the Tempio di Romolo is about 2.5 kilometers.

Begin your journey from St. Peter's Square by walking to the nearest bus stop on Via della Conciliazione. Look for bus number 81 or 87, which will take you towards the Colosseum area. Board the bus and stay on for approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the stop called 'Colosseo'.
