Walking
From the center of St. Peter's Square, face the Basilica. Walk towards the large obelisk in the middle of the square. Once you reach the obelisk, turn left and head towards the colonnade. Walk along the edge of the colonnade until you reach the entrance to the Cortile del Belvedere. Continue straight ahead, and you will see the Vatican Apostolic Archive entrance on your right.
