Walking
Once you are in the Vatican Library, exit through the main entrance. As you step out, you will find yourself facing the Vatican Museums. Walk towards the entrance of the museums. Cortile della Pinacoteca is located just inside the entrance, where the collection of artworks begins. It is a beautiful courtyard that serves as a transition between the museum's galleries.
Public Transportation
If you are coming from outside the Vatican, take Line A of the Rome Metro and get off at Ottaviano-San Pietro station. From there, walk towards the Vatican Museums, which is about a 10-minute walk. Upon entering the Vatican Museums, follow the signs to the Cortile della Pinacoteca. The entry to the Vatican Museums may require a ticket purchase, which costs approximately €17 for adults.
Car
If you are driving to Vatican City, be aware that parking is very limited. The closest parking facility is at the Gianicolo Hill. From there, it is advisable to walk to the Vatican Museums, which is approximately a 20-minute walk. Once you reach the Vatican Museums, enter through the main entrance, and the Cortile della Pinacoteca will be immediately accessible.
