Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are already in the Vatican Library, exit the library through the main entrance. Once outside, you will find yourself in the Cortile del Belvedere courtyard. Walk straight ahead, and you will see the entrance to the Vatican Apostolic Library, which is located at the end of the courtyard. The distance is approximately 200 meters and should take about 5 minutes on foot.

    If you are not within walking distance of the Vatican Library, you can take public transportation to the nearest metro station. From your location, head to the Ottaviano - San Pietro metro station on Line A. After getting off at Ottaviano, exit the station and walk towards the Vatican. Follow the signs to the Vatican Museums. Once you reach the entrance, continue walking through the museums until you reach the Vatican Library. This journey will take approximately 15-20 minutes.
