From the Vatican Library, exit the building and head towards the Cortile del Belvedere. The main exit will lead you to the courtyard area. As you step outside, you will see the beautiful architecture of the Vatican surrounding you. Walk straight through the courtyard towards the large archway that leads into the Belvedere area. The Académie de Besançon is located within this area at Cortile del Belvedere, V-00120 Vatican, Italy, just a short walk from the library.

Public Transportation
Although the distance is short, if you prefer public transportation, you can walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located outside the Vatican Museums. Take the bus line 49 or 64 towards Termini Station. Get off at the stop called 'Piazza Stazione San Pietro'. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk back towards the Vatican Library and then to the Académie de Besançon located at Cortile del Belvedere. Please note that bus tickets cost around €1.50 and can be purchased at ticket machines or newsstands.
