From the center of St. Peter's Square, walk towards the grand staircase leading up to St. Peter's Basilica. As you approach the basilica, look for the entrance on the right side where you will find the entrance to the Vatican Museums. It is about a 10-minute walk from the center of the square to the museum entrance.

If you are near the Obelisk in St. Peter's Square, face the basilica and walk straight towards it. Once you reach the basilica, instead of entering, turn left and follow the pathway that leads to the Vatican Museums entrance. It should take you around 7 minutes.
