    From the entrance of the Vatican Necropolis, head east towards the main path leading out of the Necropolis. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Turn left onto Via della Conciliazione and walk until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the river using the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Once you are on the other side, follow the road along the river until you reach Ponte Cestio, which is located in the Trastevere area.

    If you are at St. Peter's Basilica, exit the basilica and head towards the main square. Walk straight towards the colonnade and exit through the large gate. From there, follow the path that leads you to the Via della Conciliazione. Turn left and continue walking until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge, and once you are on the other side, walk along the riverbank until you find Ponte Cestio.
