Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from downtown Bennington, head north on Main Street. Continue on Main Street until it turns into VT-9 East. Follow VT-9 East for about 1.5 miles. When you reach the intersection with VT-7A, turn left onto VT-7A North. After about 0.5 miles, look for signs indicating Old Bennington Historic District. You may park in designated areas along the road or at nearby public parking lots.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus service schedules, such as the Green Mountain Express. Take a bus route that heads towards Bennington. Once you arrive at the Bennington bus station, you can either walk (approximately 1.5 miles) or take a taxi to the Old Bennington Historic District. If walking, head north on Main Street, turn left onto VT-9 East, and then turn left onto VT-7A North where you will find the Historic District.

• Biking

  If you're feeling adventurous, biking to Old Bennington is a great option. You can rent a bike in downtown Bennington and follow the same route as driving: head north on Main Street, continue on VT-9 East, and then turn left onto VT-7A North. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules. There are bike racks available for parking once you arrive.

• Walking

  If you're already in the vicinity of Old Bennington, walking is a lovely way to explore the area. From downtown Bennington, head north on Main Street for about 1.5 miles. The walk will take you past local shops and eateries. Upon reaching VT-9 East, make a left and then another left onto VT-7A North to reach the Historic District.
