Car
If you are driving to Lake Carmi State Park, start by getting onto VT-78 W from your location in Champlain Valley. Continue on VT-78 W for approximately 12 miles until you reach the intersection with VT-120. Turn right onto VT-120 N and follow it for about 4 miles. You'll then want to turn left onto Marsh Farm Rd. Lake Carmi State Park will be located at 460 Marsh Farm Rd, Franklin, VT 05457. Look for the park entrance on your right.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus from Burlington to St. Albans. Once in St. Albans, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to get to Lake Carmi State Park since public transit options are limited directly to the park. The taxi ride from St. Albans to the park typically costs around $25-$35. Make sure to check the local bus schedules for the latest times.
Bicycle
For those who prefer cycling, you can bike from St. Albans to Lake Carmi State Park. From the center of St. Albans, head north on Main St, which becomes VT-105 W. Follow VT-105 W for approximately 11 miles. Turn left onto Marsh Farm Rd, and the park entrance will be on your right. This option is scenic but be prepared for some hilly sections.
