Car
From any location in Champlain Valley, drive towards Charlotte, VT. If you are near Burlington, take US-7 South for approximately 12 miles. After entering Charlotte, turn left onto Mt Philo Rd. Follow Mt Philo Rd for about 2 miles until you reach the entrance of Mt. Philo State Park at 5425 Mt Philo Rd, Charlotte, VT 05445. Note that there is an entry fee of $4 per adult for all-day access.
Public Transportation
While public transportation options are limited in the area, you can take the Green Mountain Transit bus from Burlington to Charlotte. The nearest stop is at the intersection of Route 7 and Ferry Road. From there, it is a 2-mile walk to Mt. Philo State Park. Alternatively, consider using a rideshare service if available, or renting a bike for a more scenic route.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can bike from Burlington to Mt. Philo State Park. Start your ride on the scenic Route 7 South. It's about a 12-mile ride and can take around an hour, depending on your speed. Ensure to bring a bike lock and check the weather before you go. The park has various trails for biking once you arrive, but please adhere to park regulations.
