Travel Guide to North Beach Park

Getting There

• Car

  From downtown Burlington, VT, head north on Main St toward Pearl St. Continue onto North Ave and follow it for about 3 miles. You will pass through residential areas and beautiful views of Lake Champlain. Keep an eye out for the North Beach Park sign on your left. Once you arrive, you can find parking available on-site, but there may be a small fee during peak season.

• Public Transportation

  You can take the Green Mountain Transit bus route 7 from downtown Burlington. Board the bus at the nearest bus stop on Main St. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the North Beach Park stop. The park entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as it may vary on weekends and holidays.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local shop in Burlington. From downtown, take the bike path along the lakefront heading north. The path is well-marked and scenic, leading directly to North Beach Park. The ride is approximately 3 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes. There are bike racks available at the park for parking.

• Walking

  If you are staying nearby, walking to North Beach Park is a lovely option. From the nearest hotel or residence, head toward North Ave and follow the sidewalks north. The park is about a mile away from many locations in the New North End of Burlington, offering a pleasant stroll with views of the lake along the way.
