Travel Guide to The Battery

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head towards Burlington, VT 05401. From Main Street in downtown Burlington, take a left onto Battery Street. Continue straight until you reach The Battery, which is located near the waterfront. There is street parking available, but be mindful of any parking regulations and fees that may apply.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, you can take the Green Mountain Transit bus service. Look for the 'Chittenden County' route that stops at downtown Burlington. Get off at the Church Street Marketplace stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to The Battery. Head south on Church Street until you reach Main Street, then turn left onto Battery Street and follow it to the waterfront.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, Burlington has a network of bike paths. You can rent a bike from local bike shops or use a bike-sharing program. Start from the Church Street Marketplace and head south on Battery Street. The Battery is located along the waterfront, where you can enjoy scenic views of Lake Champlain.

• Walking

  If you are already in the vicinity of downtown Burlington, walking to The Battery is a great option. Simply head south on Church Street, then turn left onto Main Street. Continue until you reach Battery Street and follow it until you arrive at The Battery. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the center of downtown.
