Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Waitsfield. Head east on Main Street (VT-100) and continue for about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto Harris Hill Road. After about 0.5 miles, look for 485 Harris Hill on your right. The Mad River Path Millbrook Trailhead is located at this address. There is parking available, but be sure to arrive early during peak seasons, as spaces can fill up quickly.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using public transportation, take the Green Mountain Transit bus service, which operates in the Mad River Valley area. Check the schedule for the bus that runs from Montpelier or Burlington to Waitsfield. Once you arrive at the Waitsfield bus stop, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to the Mad River Path Millbrook Trailhead. Head east on Main Street (VT-100) and then turn left onto Harris Hill Road. The trailhead will be at 485 Harris Hill on your right.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Waitsfield. From Main Street, head east on VT-100 and then turn onto Harris Hill Road. It’s about a 1.5-mile ride to the trailhead, and the roads are generally bike-friendly. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow all safety regulations.
