Walking
From the center of Middlebury, start at the intersection of Main Street and Merchants Row. Head south on Main Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the junction with Route 7 South. Continue straight onto Route 7 South for approximately 1 mile. You will pass by several local shops and restaurants. When you reach the intersection with Route 125, turn left to stay on Route 7 South. After about another 0.5 miles, you'll see a sign for Mainelli Road on your right. Turn right onto Mainelli Road and walk about 0.3 miles. The Appalachian Gap Distillery will be on your left at 88 Mainelli Rd. Look for the distillery building with a rustic design, and enjoy your visit!
Bicycle
If you're biking from Middlebury, start at the Middlebury College campus. Exit the campus onto College Street and head south until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street and continue for about 0.5 miles. At the junction with Route 7 South, continue straight onto Route 7 South. After about 1 mile, turn left onto Route 125 at the intersection and then immediately right onto Mainelli Road. Cycle down Mainelli Road for approximately 0.3 miles, and you'll find Appalachian Gap Distillery on your left at 88 Mainelli Rd. Enjoy the scenic ride!
Public Transit
To reach Appalachian Gap Distillery via public transit from Middlebury, start at the Middlebury Transit Center. Catch the Green Mountain Transit bus heading south towards Rutland. Get off at the stop on Route 7 South near the intersection with Route 125. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk: head south on Route 7 South, then take a left onto Route 125. Walk for about 0.3 miles until you turn right onto Mainelli Road. The distillery will be on your left at 88 Mainelli Rd. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings.
