Getting There

• Walking

  Start in the center of Middlebury at the intersection of Main Street and College Street. Head south on Main Street, passing by local shops and cafes. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Seymour Street. Turn left onto Seymour Street and continue straight. After about 0.5 miles, you will reach the Middlebury River, which runs parallel to the road. Look for access points along the riverbank where you can enjoy the scenic views.

• Biking

  If you are biking, start from the Middlebury College campus. Exit the campus onto College Street and head south. Turn right onto Main Street and continue until you reach Seymour Street. Turn left on Seymour Street and bike down towards the river. There are designated bike paths along the way, and after about a mile, you will arrive at the Middlebury River. Look for bike racks and areas to park your bike while you explore the riverside.

• Public Transit (Bus)

  From the center of Middlebury, catch the local bus service at the nearest bus stop. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus heading towards the Middlebury River area. Once on the bus, remain seated until you reach the designated stop for the river access point. After disembarking, follow the signs to the river, which is usually a short walk away from the bus stop.
