Public Bus
From downtown Montpelier, walk to the nearest bus stop on State Street, which is located one block from the Vermont State House. Catch the Green Mountain Transit bus heading towards Stowe. The bus will take you along Route 100. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Stowe Village' stop, then transfer to the Stowe free shuttle service, which operates seasonally. Board the shuttle heading towards Trapp Family Lodge. The shuttle will take you directly to the lodge's entrance, which is about a 10-minute ride.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Montpelier. Start your ride by heading north on Main Street, which turns into River Street. Follow River Street until you reach the intersection with Route 100. Turn right onto Route 100 North. Continue cycling for approximately 6 miles until you see the signs for Trapp Family Lodge. The lodge is located on Trapp Hill Road, which is on your left. Follow the road up the hill to reach the lodge's parking area.

Walking
While it is a lengthy walk, you can make your way to Trapp Family Lodge on foot. Start from downtown Montpelier and head north on Main Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection of Route 100. Cross over to Route 100 North and follow it for about 6 miles. Note that this route is along a busy road, so exercise caution. Once you reach Trapp Hill Road, turn left and walk up the hill until you arrive at the lodge.
