Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving within Molly Stark State Park, head south on the main park road. Continue to follow the signs towards the exit of the park. Once you reach the intersection with Route 9, turn left onto Route 9 East. Continue on Route 9 for about 2 miles until you reach the town of Guilford. Look for signs directing you to The Green River Timber Crib Dam, which is located approximately 5 miles from this point. You will need to turn right onto Green River Road. Follow this road until you see signs for the Timber Crib Dam.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, first check if there are any local bus services that connect Molly Stark State Park to the town of Guilford. Once you arrive in Guilford, you can either walk or take a taxi to Green River Road. Expect a short walk of about 1.5 miles to reach The Green River Timber Crib Dam. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for the most accurate times and routes. Keep in mind that some taxi services may require advance booking.

• Walking/Biking

  If you are feeling adventurous, you can also walk or bike from Molly Stark State Park. Take the park’s main road towards the exit, then follow Route 9 East until you reach Guilford. From there, you can take Green River Road to reach The Green River Timber Crib Dam. This route is approximately 7 miles long, so be prepared for a moderate trek or bike ride. Ensure you have appropriate gear and hydration as you may not find many stops along the way.
