Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Buon Ma Thuot, the largest city in the Central Highlands. Head south on Highway 14 towards Dak Nong Province. After approximately 130 kilometers, you will reach the town of Gia Nghia. From Gia Nghia, continue on Highway 28 for about 45 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Provincial Road 1. Turn right onto Provincial Road 1 and drive for another 25 kilometers. You will see signs leading to Hon Trung Lon. Make sure to follow the local signs as you approach the area.
Public Transportation
To reach Hon Trung Lon using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Buon Ma Thuot to Gia Nghia. Buses operate frequently, and the fare is roughly 50,000 VND. Once in Gia Nghia, you can hire a local taxi or motorbike taxi to take you to Hon Trung Lon, which is about 45 kilometers away. Negotiate the fare beforehand, which should range between 200,000 to 300,000 VND depending on your bargaining skills and the vehicle type.
Motorbike Rental
For the more adventurous travelers, renting a motorbike is a great way to explore the Central Highlands. Rent a motorbike in Buon Ma Thuot for around 150,000 VND per day. Follow the same route as described for car travel, taking Highway 14 south to Gia Nghia, then Highway 28, and finally Provincial Road 1. Enjoy the scenic views along the way and make sure to wear a helmet and carry an ID.
Local Tours
