Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in District 1, you can easily walk to the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House. Start at the Ben Thanh Market, which is a popular landmark. From there, head east along Le Loi Street until you reach the intersection with Dong Khoi Street. Turn left onto Dong Khoi Street and continue walking straight. You will pass by the Saigon Central Post Office and the Notre Dame Cathedral. Keep walking until you reach Lam Son Square, where the Opera House is located at 07 Công trường Lam Sơn. It should take about 15-20 minutes on foot.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  To reach the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House by bus, find the nearest bus stop to your location. Look for bus lines 7, 14, 30, or 36, which have stops close to the Opera House. Board the bus and notify the driver of your destination (Công trường Lam Sơn). The ride may take approximately 15-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the stop, walk a short distance to the Opera House located at 07 Công trường Lam Sơn.

• Cyclo (Pedicab)

  For a unique experience, consider taking a cyclo to the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House. You can find cyclos in tourist areas such as Ben Thanh Market or near the backpacker district. Negotiate the fare before getting in, typically around 50,000 to 100,000 VND. Instruct the driver to take you to 07 Công trường Lam Sơn. The journey will be leisurely and allow you to enjoy the sights of the city as you approach your destination.

  Download the Grab app on your smartphone if you haven't already. Open the app and set your destination to 'Ho Chi Minh City Opera House' or enter the address: 07 Công trường Lam Sơn, Bến Nghé, Quận 1.
