Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the central area of Ho Chi Minh City (District 1), you can walk to Turtle Lake. Start at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, which is a popular gathering spot. From Nguyen Hue, head east towards Le Loi Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Pasteur Street. Turn left onto Pasteur and walk until you reach Vo Thi Sau Street. Turn right on Vo Thi Sau and keep walking for about 10 minutes. You will see Turtle Lake on your left, a small pond surrounded by cafes and seating areas.

• Public Bus

  To reach Turtle Lake using public transportation, find a bus stop nearby. Look for bus number 36, which has a stop on Le Duan Street. Board the bus and ride for about 10 stops (approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic). Get off at the Vo Thi Sau stop. From there, walk a short distance along Vo Thi Sau Street heading west, and you will arrive at Turtle Lake on your right.

• Cyclo (Cycle Rickshaw)

  Cyclo is a unique and traditional way to explore the city. If you are near Ben Thanh Market, you can easily find a cyclo driver. Negotiate the fare (approximately 50,000 - 100,000 VND) and ask them to take you to Turtle Lake at Vo Thi Sau, District 3. The ride will give you a scenic view of the city, and the driver will drop you off right in front of the lake.

• Motorbike Taxi (GrabBike)

  For a quicker route, use a ride-hailing app like Grab to book a GrabBike. Open the app, set your pickup location, and enter 'Turtle Lake, Vo Thi Sau, District 3' as your destination. After confirming the ride, the motorbike taxi will take you directly to Turtle Lake, navigating through the city traffic. This ride usually takes around 15-20 minutes depending on the traffic conditions.
