Getting There

• Walking

  If you're near the intersection of Le Van Sy and Nguyen Dinh Chieu streets in District 3, head west on Le Van Sy street toward Tran Quoc Thao street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Tran Quoc Thao. Turn left onto Tran Quoc Thao. Walk straight until you reach the junction with Vo Thi Sau street. Turn right onto Vo Thi Sau, and continue walking. Soon, you will see the entrance to the Independence Palace on your left. It should take around 15-20 minutes on foot, depending on your starting point.

• Cyclo

  You can hire a cyclo (a three-wheeled bicycle taxi) from any point in District 3. Make sure to negotiate the fare before you start your journey. A typical ride to Independence Palace will cost around 30,000 to 50,000 VND. Ask the driver to take you to 'Dinh Doc Lap' or simply say 'Independence Palace'. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Public Bus

  If you prefer to take public transport, look for Bus number 19 or 30. Find the nearest bus stop in District 3 and wait for the bus to arrive. The fare is around 7,000 VND. Board the bus and enjoy the ride. Get off at the Ben Thanh Market stop, then walk about 10 minutes towards the Independence Palace, which will be on your left as you head down Le Duan street. Make sure to have small change for the bus fare.

• Motorbike Taxi (Grab)

  For a quicker option, you can use a motorbike taxi service like Grab. Download the Grab app, enter your pickup location and select 'Independence Palace' as your destination. The cost will vary, but it typically ranges between 20,000 to 40,000 VND. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on the traffic.
