If you are in the backpacker area around Pham Ngu Lao Street, head east towards Le Lai Street. Turn left onto Le Lai and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Pasteur Street. Turn right onto Pasteur and walk straight until you reach Nguyen Hue Walking Street. Continue walking straight, and you will see the Ben Thanh Market to your left. It is a large, bustling market, and you can’t miss its iconic clock tower.

Find the nearest bus stop and take Bus Number 1, which operates from Ben Thanh Market to Tan Son Nhat Airport. The bus will take you directly to Ben Thanh Market. Make sure to get off at the Ben Thanh Market stop, which is well-marked. From the bus stop, walk a few steps towards the market, and you will see the entrance.

Cyclo
Hire a cyclo (a three-wheeled bicycle taxi) from your location. Tell the driver you want to go to Ben Thanh Market. Most drivers are familiar with this popular landmark. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. Enjoy the sights along the way!

Although the metro system is still under construction, you can check for updates on the Saigon Metro lines. Once operational, you will be able to take Line 1 and get off at Ben Thanh Station. From there, it’s just a short walk to the market entrance.
