If you're in the heart of District 1, start at Ben Thanh Market. Exit the market and head northwest on Le Loi Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Dong Khoi Street. Turn left onto Dong Khoi Street and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass by several shops and cafes. Keep an eye out for the Saigon River on your right. After about 1 kilometer, you'll see the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on your left at 07 Công trường Lam Sơn, Bến Nghé, Quận 1.

Find the nearest bus stop in District 1. You can take bus number 65 from the stop near Ben Thanh Market. Board the bus heading towards the Opera House. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Lam Son Square' stop. From there, walk a short distance back towards the Opera House, which will be directly ahead of you at 07 Công trường Lam Sơn, Bến Nghé, Quận 1.
