Getting There

  • Bicycle

    From An Bang Beach, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head east towards Cua Dai Beach, then follow the coastal road until you reach the intersection with Tran Nhat Duat Street. Turn right onto Tran Nhat Duat and continue straight. After about 3 kilometers, you will reach the entrance to Hoi An ancient town. There may be a small bike parking fee (around 5,000 VND) at the entrance.

  • Walking

    For a more leisurely approach, you can walk from An Bang Beach to Hoi An ancient town. Start by walking east towards the main road (Vo Nguyen Giap). Turn left and follow the road north until you reach the intersection with Tran Nhat Duat Street. From there, continue walking straight for about 3 kilometers. You will enter Hoi An ancient town through one of the gates. This walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

  • Motorbike Taxi (Xe Ôm)

    If you prefer a faster option, you can use a motorbike taxi. You can find Xe Ôm drivers near An Bang Beach. Negotiate a fare (expect to pay around 30,000 VND to 50,000 VND) and ask them to take you to Hoi An ancient town. The ride typically takes about 10-15 minutes.

  • Traditional Boat

    An alternative and scenic route is to take a traditional boat from An Bang Beach to Hoi An. You can inquire at local boat rental services. The boat ride will take you along the river and may cost about 100,000 VND per person. Once you reach the dock near Hoi An ancient town, you can walk a short distance to the entrance.
