Sơn Trà Mountain: A Natural Paradise in Da Nang

Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Hoi An, head towards the Hoi An Ancient Town area and locate the nearest bus station. Take a local bus heading to Da Nang; the bus ride will take about 30-45 minutes. Upon arrival in Da Nang, get off at the Da Nang bus station. From there, you can either take a taxi or a motorbike taxi. If you choose the taxi, tell the driver 'Sơn Trà Mountain.' If you prefer a motorbike taxi, you can find them outside the bus station. The ride from the bus station to Sơn Trà Mountain will take around 20 minutes.

• Bicycle

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Hoi An. Start your journey by cycling towards the main road, Nguyen Tat Thanh. Follow this road until you reach the intersection with Le Duan Street. Turn left onto Le Duan and continue straight until you reach the bridge that connects Hoi An to Da Nang. After crossing the bridge, continue straight until you reach Sơn Trà Mountain. It’s approximately a 10 km ride, and you can expect to take around 1-1.5 hours, depending on your cycling speed.

• Motorbike

  If you are comfortable riding a motorbike, you can rent one in Hoi An. Start your journey by heading towards the National Route 1A. Once on this road, follow the signs to Da Nang. After about 30 minutes of riding, you will reach the city of Da Nang. As you get closer, look for signs directing you to Sơn Trà Mountain. The journey will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on traffic.
