Half Day Hoi An Local Experience Cycling and Cultural Insights

Geweldige fietstocht door rustige straten en langs de rivier

De fietstocht was geweldig en er was een goede afwisseling tussen fietsen en het bezoeken van lokale bedrijven. De fietsen werden bij ons hotel afgeleverd en vanaf daar had Sue een mooie route samengesteld door rustige straatjes en steegjes, over een schiereiland en langs lokale bedrijfjes. De plek om iets te drinken en eten was ook goed gekozen. Als we meer tijd hadden, gehad in Hoi An, dan hadden we nog een fietstocht geboekt. Bouba en Anna uit Groningen

Amazing visit at the craft villages

We visited a few craft villages with Su and a very nice driver who took us where we needed. We started with the basket boats led by the locals and then we went to the pottery village and the carpentry village. We learned so much about the lives of the locals and the uniqueness of those villages where every family learns the crafting from generation to generation. It is very interesting to see the traces of the French and American occupations and how much damage was done to the country, while they remained united as a people. If you visit Vietnam, bear in mind that people have little social security and they have no pension. They work very hard and this is visible everywhere you go. If you book such a trip you will see a different piece of Vietnam, but very real. It makes you think more on how privileged some of us are.
