Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Hanoi, take the Hanoi - Hai Phong highway (AH14) towards Hai Phong. After about 120 km, take the exit towards Quang Ninh on National Route 10. Continue for approximately 70 km until you reach Ha Long City. Once in Ha Long, follow signs for Ha Long Bay. Park your car at one of the designated parking areas near the boat docks.

Bus

From Hanoi, you can take a bus from My Dinh or Gia Lam bus stations to Ha Long City. The journey takes about 4-5 hours, and tickets typically cost between 100,000 to 200,000 VND. Once you arrive in Ha Long City, you can take a taxi or a local bus to the boat docks. Make sure to confirm the dock location with your driver.

Boat

From the boat docks in Ha Long City, purchase a ticket for a boat tour to Sung Sot Cave. The boat ride usually takes around 30-45 minutes. Tickets for the boat tour can range from 200,000 to 400,000 VND, depending on the tour operator. Ensure that the tour includes a stop at Sung Sot Cave.

Walking

Once your boat arrives at the entrance of Sung Sot Cave, you will need to walk up a set of stairs (approximately 600 steps). The path is well maintained, and the views along the way are stunning. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially in warmer weather.
