If you are driving from Cao Bang city, start by heading west on National Route 3 (QL3) towards Ha Quang District. After approximately 40 km, look for signs directing you towards Pac Bo. Turn onto the smaller road signposted for Pac Bo Cave. Continue on this road for about 15 km until you reach the entrance of Pac Bo Cave. Ensure you have a GPS device or a map application handy, as the road can be winding and might not have clear signage.
Public Transportation
To reach Pac Bo Cave by public transport, first take a local bus from Cao Bang city to Ha Quang District. Buses leave regularly from the main bus station in Cao Bang, and the fare is typically around 30,000 VND (approximately 1.30 USD). Upon arrival at Ha Quang, hire a motorbike taxi or a local taxi to take you the remaining 15 km to Pac Bo Cave. Make sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; it should be around 100,000 VND (approximately 4.30 USD).
Motorbike Rental
If you prefer a more adventurous option, consider renting a motorbike in Cao Bang city. After renting, head west on National Route 3 (QL3) towards Ha Quang District. Follow the same route mentioned for cars. The journey is about 55 km and will take approximately 1.5 hours. Ensure to wear a helmet and have an International Driving Permit. Rental prices typically range from 100,000 to 200,000 VND per day (approximately 4.30 to 8.60 USD).
