To reach Hòn Thơm (May Rut Island) from the main town of Duong Dong, head to the An Thoi Pier, which is approximately 25 km south of Duong Dong. You can take a local bus or a taxi to get there. Once at the pier, look for boats heading to Hòn Thơm. The boat ride typically takes around 30 minutes. Make sure to confirm the schedule as it may vary, and be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.

Taxi

If you're in a different part of Phu Quoc, you can hire a taxi to take you directly to An Thoi Pier. Ensure that the driver understands your destination. The journey will take around 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. From An Thoi Pier, you can board a boat to Hòn Thơm.

Motorbike Taxi

For a more adventurous option, you can use a motorbike taxi (xe ôm) to reach An Thoi Pier. You can find these drivers around main tourist areas. Just inform them that you need to go to An Thoi Pier for the boats to Hòn Thơm. This is a quicker and often cheaper option, taking around 30 minutes from Duong Dong.
