  If you are driving from Hanoi, take National Route 32 in the direction of Sơn Tây. After approximately 50 km, you will reach the town of Sơn Tây. Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Đường Lâm, where Văn Miếu is located. Once you arrive in Đường Lâm, follow the local road signs to Văn Miếu Sơn Tây. Parking is usually available near the entrance, but be aware of potential parking fees, which can range from 10,000 to 20,000 VND.

  For those using public transportation, you can catch a bus from the My Dinh Bus Station in Hanoi. Look for buses heading towards Sơn Tây, such as bus number 70 or 71. The fare is about 30,000 VND. Upon arriving at Sơn Tây, you will need to take a taxi or a local motorbike taxi (xe ôm) to reach Văn Miếu Sơn Tây, which is about 5 km away. The taxi fare should be around 50,000 to 70,000 VND.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route from Hanoi, you can hire a taxi from the city. This option will be more expensive, with fares typically ranging from 400,000 to 600,000 VND depending on traffic and the taxi company. The drive will take about 1.5 hours. Just provide the driver with the address: 5F3M+JF8, Đường Lâm, Sơn Tây, Hà Nội.

• Motorbike

  For adventurous travelers, renting a motorbike in Hanoi can be a great way to explore. Make your way to the National Route 32 and head towards Sơn Tây. Once you reach Sơn Tây, follow the signs to Đường Lâm, where Văn Miếu is located. Be cautious about traffic rules and conditions. Rental costs for a motorbike are typically around 100,000 to 150,000 VND per day, plus fuel costs.
