Hi, I'm Eve. Here are a few practical things to know before exploring Paradise Cave.
Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you are driving from the city of Dong Hoi, take Route 1A south toward Phong Nha. After approximately 40 kilometers, you will reach the turn-off for the Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park. Follow the signs that indicate 'Paradise Cave' towards the Hồ Chí Minh Road, and drive for another 16 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Paradise Cave. There is a parking area available where you can leave your car. Note that there is an entrance fee for the cave, which is around 250,000 VND.
Public Transportation
From Dong Hoi, take a local bus or a shared taxi to Phong Nha. The buses leave frequently from the Dong Hoi bus station and take about 1 hour to reach Phong Nha. Once in Phong Nha, you can hire a motorbike taxi or a bicycle to reach Paradise Cave, which is about 14 kilometers from the town. Make sure to negotiate or confirm the fare beforehand. The entrance fee for Paradise Cave is around 250,000 VND.
Tour Package
Consider joining a guided tour that includes transportation from your accommodation in Dong Hoi or Phong Nha to Paradise Cave. Many local travel agencies offer packages that cover entrance fees, transportation, and a guided experience in the cave. This can be a more convenient option for tourists who prefer not to navigate public transport.
