Bus
To reach Nam Du Island, start your journey by taking a bus from Ho Chi Minh City to Rach Gia. You can catch a bus from Mien Tay Bus Station (Bến Xe Miền Tây), which is about 8 kilometers from the city center. Buses to Rach Gia operate frequently and the ticket price is approximately 200,000 VND. The journey takes around 6-7 hours. Once you arrive at Rach Gia Bus Station, you will need to take a taxi or a local bus to the Rach Gia port.
Taxi/Local Bus
After reaching Rach Gia, take a taxi or a local bus to Rach Gia Port. The distance is about 3 kilometers and should cost around 50,000 to 70,000 VND by taxi. Local buses are cheaper but may take longer, depending on stops. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at the port.
Ferry
At Rach Gia Port, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Nam Du Island. Ferries typically operate several times a day, with morning departures being the most common. The ticket price is around 200,000 VND for a one-way trip, and the ferry ride takes about 2-3 hours. Make sure to check the schedule ahead of time as it can vary based on weather conditions.
Arrival at Nam Du Island
