Getting There

• Metro

  If you are in Arlington, head to the nearest Metro station, which is usually the Ballston-MU Station on the Orange Line. Take the Orange Line train towards New Carrollton. After four stops, get off at the Virginia Square-GMU Station. Upon exiting the station, head northwest on N Fairfax Dr towards N Monroe St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Wilson Blvd. Turn left onto Wilson Blvd and walk until you reach N Emerson St. Turn right onto N Emerson St. The Arlington Forest Historic District will be on your left at 216 N Emerson St.

• Bus

  From any location in Arlington, locate the nearest bus stop and take the ART (Arlington Transit) bus that heads towards Ballston or Virginia Square. For example, you can catch the 25B or 25C bus routes. Ride the bus until you get to the Virginia Square area. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of Wilson Blvd and N Monroe St. From there, walk north on N Monroe St, then turn right onto Wilson Blvd. Walk along Wilson Blvd until you reach N Emerson St, then turn right. The Arlington Forest Historic District will be at 216 N Emerson St.

• Walking

  If you are nearby, you can walk to the Arlington Forest Historic District. Start from the intersection of Wilson Blvd and N Monroe St. Head north on N Monroe St until you reach the intersection with N Emerson St. Turn right onto N Emerson St and continue walking. The Arlington Forest Historic District will be on your left at 216 N Emerson St.

  For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-share stations in Arlington. Cycle towards Wilson Blvd and head west until you reach N Emerson St. Turn left onto N Emerson St and continue until you reach the Arlington Forest Historic District at 216 N Emerson St. Make sure to follow local bike lanes and traffic rules.
